Model A and T Front Spring Spreader

This Heavy-Duty front spring spreader will fit Model T's, Model A's up to 1934. What makes this an HD version is that pipe has a 40% thicker (5/32") wall then the "Standard" version I once manufactured. All components are made of USA manufactured steel, B7 Hardened threaded rod, TIG welded and painted satin black. This extra heavy spreader is designed to have an adjusting range of approximately 6 inches (31" to 37") and to withstand the large amount of pressure that's required to do any kind of service work on your front spring or components. The leaf spring must be extended in order to relieve the pressure to replace the shackles that connect the leaf spring to the front-end of your car. Without this tool or one similar, it makes replacing the shackles/kingpins or removing your leaf spring a fairly difficult task.
