This is a NHRA improved "Weld-In" application (with a bolt-in option), Drive Shaft Safety Loop for the 64-72 GM A-body (Chevelle, GTO, Olds 442, Buick GS, etc.). This loop is conformed for the A-body floor pan and can be welded or bolted to the OE floor pan reinforcement rib located behind the transmission cross-member. This is a must for tracks that require a safety loop for cars running faster than 12.99 in a quarter mile. The loop has a 5" I.D. and is constructed of 1/4" (0.250") thick USA made mild steel, machined bolt holes and fully MIG welded for superior strength. All are Powder Coated Gloss Black.
